Factoring is a receivables management and financing service designed to improve the seller's cash flow and to cover risk. It is a financial transaction whereby a business sells its accounts receivable to a factor at a discount in exchange for immediate money with which to finance continued business. This is best suited for financing trade and unlike other financing services, it normally requires no collateral.
